ISOLATIONS is a poem written with the input of many. It began as open→access→document, a public online document hosted on the INTERNET ART BOOK FAIR. From January 19th to January 21st, participants were given access to the document below and asked to contribute any text they wanted. The collected words were translated, altered, edited, cut, and reformed into a poem and printed by Huldra Press, to be mailed to anyone that desires it.

ISOLATIONS

One year of treatment
as an inanimate object.
Passing
through
the floating
ceiling blurred.

Elsewhere the rhetoricians
- visible and immediate -
part of the half-life, the exile true.

Of isolations
- each is a reservoir -
of scattered detachments
and fleet deceits.

Those who pass their puzzles on.
Their angles measured under stress.
Replace the bones.
(The bones replaced.)

This morning
a self-invented change.
Some topics:
Coal.
Light.

House floating quietly
- copied -
as our guests
were
yesterday.

Hiding in a dark place.
Looking for a key.
